A taxi driver has bitten a commercial driver’s mate during a fight over parking space at Mile 7 in Accra.

The victim, 25-year-old Emmanuel Koranteng in an interview with Adomonline’s Kwaku Nti expressed shock at the turn of events.

He explained that, there was an argument between him and the taxi driver over parking space while loading his vehicle which resulted in a fight.

Emma noted that, they had loaded from Taifa and was picking passengers at Lapaz when the taxi driver starting hooting his horn.

“I did not mind when and was concerntrating on loading my vehicle only to receive some dirty slaps from the taxi driver” he added.

The mate said, he begun fighting back and the taxi driver whom he claimed was holding a knife bit his back after he prevented him [taxi driver] from stabbing him with a knife.

After inflicting wounds on his body, Emmanuel said, the taxi driver escaped from the scene to prevent being lynched by the angry mob leaving his car behind.

The mate who sustained injuries reported the matter to the Mile 7 police and has been issued medical form for treatment.

Meanwhile, the taxi cap with registration number GR 5021-12 has been towed to the Mile 7 police station pending investigations.
