Rampaging armed robbers have shot six persons at Assin Breku in the Assin North District in the Central Region.

The incidence happened at a Produce Buying Company (PBC) in the Community.

Preliminary reports gathered by Adom News has it that the alleged robbers made away with an undisclosed amount of money in a “Ghana-Must-Go’ bag, popular jute sack.

Some of the victims of the robbery, Obed Mawutor, Augustine Addae and Charles Brobbey said the alleged robbers shot indiscriminately at the office and principal streets of the community during the entire operation.

“Six persons have sustained serious wounds in the process and are currently receiving treatment at St. Francis hospital in Assin Fosu.

Reports say the robbers on realising that they were being pursued by some community members begun to throw some of the stolen money on the streets to divert attention.”

Before the Assin Fosu police could arrive at the community where the robbery was taking place, the robbers had left with no arrests made so far.

 This is the third time in a roll that armed robbers have attacked cocoa buying companies in the area with Assin Adubease PBC and New Edubease CMB respectively robbed last week.
