Rita Nketia and her husband, Emmanuel Botchwey struck dead by thunder

The parents of the couple who cursed each other over GH¢20.00 leading to their demise last Thursday have been fined by the traditional rulers of Assin Andoe in the Assin South District of the Central region.

The parents were fined GH¢700.00, two goats, two bottles of schnapps and two crates of minerals for ancestral sacrifice to purify the land.

In an interview with Adom News, the queen of Assin Andoe and Adontenhemaa of Apemanim Traditional Area,  said it was a taboo for anybody to curse in the area for whatever reason, hence the need for the fine to appease the gods.
