The National Organiser aspirant for the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Joshua Akamba says he supports an aspiring National Youth Organiser of the party, Yaw Brogya Gyamfi’s call for a party vigilante group in the shape of the Hawks.
He explained that it is the only way his party can counter the ruling New Patriotic Party, which he says, is known for violence.

His comments follow a recent video that went viral with NDC’s Brogya Gyamfi speaking with some macho men he was addressing.
Gyamfi was heard telling the men about how NDC would efficiently and effectively use them in the 2020 elections.
But Akamba on Asempa FM’s Ekosii Sen Monday said the NDC is only following the footsteps of the opposition NPP as far as groups such as the Delta Forces, Invincible Forces, among others are concerned.
I believe the video is a response to them [the NPP tugs]. There has not been any party as violent as the NPP in the history of this country”.

He outlined attacks on the Regional Security Coordinator, the court, state installations, the attacks on ASP Nanka Bruce at the Flagstaff House by the Invincible Forces of the NPP as some of the violent attacks by the NPP vigilante groups.
