Topmost on the fixture list is the Adansi derby between Asante Kotoko and AshantiGold in Kumasi

Following a
stunning Match-day 3 weekend that saw Hearts of Oak succumb to a second defeat,
Kotoko move to the top of Zone A and AshGold keep a third straight clean sheet,
the next installment of the Normalisation Committee Special Cup promises quite
a bit of interest.

Topmost on
the fixture list is the Adansi derby between Asante Kotoko and AshantiGold in
Kumasi.

Kotoko and
Ashgold have made decent starts and occupy the first and second positions on
the Zone A table respectively. Kotoko have won two and lost one while Ashgold
have won one, drawn two and are yet to concede a goal after three games.

However, it
is Kotoko that many fancy the win following their 3-0 demolishing of Eleven
Wonders last Sunday. Ashgold, on the other hand, were fortunate to secure a
point at the Dormaa Park against Aduana Stars.

In Accra,
Kim Grant and his Hearts of Oak side will be eyeing a return to winning ways
when they welcome struggling Ebusua Dwarfs to the Accra Stadium. Following a
good start that saw Hearts beat Dreams in their first game, the Phobians head
into Wednesday’s encounter on the back of two successive defeats, all on the
road against Karela United and Elmina Sharks.

Although
Grant has admitted the team is a work in progress, fans are desperate for good
results. The fans will not accept anything short of a win against a Dwarfs side
that have lost all of their games.

Karela
United’s lead at the top of Zone B will be under threat when they travel to
Sogakope to face WAFA. The Academy didn’t show great form in their last two
games, but playing at the Red Bull Arena gives them an extra edge over their
opponents – who are yet to taste defeat. Karela are two points above WAFA,
having won two and drawn one of their opening three games.

Five points
behind the chase in Zone B, Inter Allies will have the chance to record their
first win of the competition when they host Dreams FC. Allies, who were tipped
to be a strong force in the Southern Zone haven’t made the best of starts and
are without a win. Dreams secured their first win against Dwarfs last weekend.
They will be hoping to build on that for a famous win in Tema.

In Tarkwa,
It will be Medeama looking to build on their impressive home form in recent
years as they welcome Bechem United.

Also, Aduana
Stars face a tricky battle against youthful Berekum Chelsea side. The Blues had
to wait until matchday 3 to play their first game after first two games versus
Medeama and Stallions were postponed. They lost 1-0 to Bechem despite an
impressive show.

Elmina
Sharks will have the chance to haul in their second win of the season as they
host a Liberty Professionals club that are riding high on confidence following
back to back wins.

Eleven
Wonders versus Stallions FC – formerly Wa All Stars – will not take place
because the latter is yet to confirm participation in the competition.
