Rapper Kwaw Kese has vowed to quit smoking in 2019.

According to him, he has been smoking for the past 20 years hence as part of his resolutions next year he would like to take a “small break.”

The rapper, born as Emmanuel Botchwey, earlier tweeted that, “Had to cancel all December shows to take care of my health. Sorry to all the organizers who booked me earlier. 100 per cent refund and I’ll make it up to you at #UnityConcert 3/19”

In what seemed like a follow-up tweet, he said, “I shmoke for over twenty years, eii .. 2019 biggest resolution, I go go break small so help me God  #GoodMan”

The “Abodam” hitmaker who has always advocated the need to decriminalise marijuana was arrested in 2014 with friends for smoking the illegal substance in a public place in Kumasi.

He was sentenced to a day imprisonment with a fine of GHC 1,200.
