Some aggrieved customers of Menzgold have hit the streets of Kumasi in the Ashanti Region to protest over their locked cash at the gold dealership firm following its closure last year.

Luv FM’s Prince Appiah who has been following the story reported on Adom TV’s morning show, “Badwam” said the angry customers, as part of their protest, have blocked major roads blocking access to Adum from Amakom.

The protesters also set car tyres ablaze.

Their action, Prince reported, has caused a gridlock in the region.

The over hundred demonstrators, Prince said, are hoisting placards castigating the embattled CEO of Menzgold, Nana Appiah Mensah.

“All we want is our money; Nana Appiah Mensah and his men promised us but have failed so we are here to do all we can to collect our locked monies. We are not backing out,” she said.

The angry customers say they want to impress on other stakeholders in the country including President Akufo-Addo to intervene and assist them to recover their investments.

The customers have, for the past six months, been demanding the payment of their principal investments after the gold dealership company was instructed by the Securities and Exchange Commission to halt their gold trading operations with the public.
