Former Minister of Information, Mustapha Abdul-Hamid is elated his deputy has been made the substantive minister.

According to him, the choice of Kojo Oppong Nkrumah is a vindication of his good judgement when he chose him as his deputy.

Mustapha Hamid made the comment on Adom News Thursday after President Akufo-Addo announced his maiden ministerial reshuffle.

He has left many who thought he will cut down the number of his appointees very disappointed.

President Akufo-Addo made 15 changes but failed to sack even one making his administration the largest in Ghana’s history.

The changes include among others John Peter Amewu, who moves to Energy ministry, Mustapha Abdul-Hamid is now a minister for Inner City and Zongo Development, Kojo Oppong Nkrumah now Information Minister and Otiko Afisa Djaba as Ambassador to Italy.

Commenting on the changes, Mustapha Hamid said Kojo Oppong Nkrumah is more than qualified for the job.

He said there is no other better person to replace him as spokesperson for the Akufo-Addo led government.

Mustapha Hamid urged Oppong Nkrumah well in his new endevour and called on Ghanaians to support him.
