Ghana’s Isaac Dogboe has lost his WBO world super bantamweight title to Mexican Emmanuel Navarette in the United States.

In his second title defence, Isaac Dogboe failed to produce the devastating skill and dexterity that saw him beat the likes of Magdaleno and Juarez earlier this year.

Dogboe who until now had gone 20 fights without defeat lasted the entire 12 rounds but he struggled for the majority of the rounds.

The taller Navarrete took the fight to Dogboe over the first half of the bout, but Dogboe came back after Navarrete injured his right hand. Navarrete had a big round ten, rocking Dogboe, and dominated the rest of the fight.

By unanimous decision, all the 3 judges scored the bout in favour of the Mexican.

Two of the judges scored the bout 116- 112 in favour of Navarette while the last judge scored it 115 -113 also in favour of the Mexican.

Dogboe who had a badly swollen face after the bout sad he will now take a break, regroup and aim to come back to the top again.

  1. Look white man never adore black man and they took it to Dodgbe to enable him to loose his tittle. They should not arrange that fight in the first place because he already had fight just few months ago. Brutality, cruelty and maltreatment l always talking about now Ghanaians and the rest of African continent can see it.
