Swedru-based musician, Patapaa Amisty has explained the motive behind his oversized suit to the 19th edition of the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards held in Accra on Saturday April 14, 2018.

According to him, his main aim was to trend on social media to get people to talk about him for a long time.
“My dressing was deliberate. I want to trend on social media and I got what I wanted”, he told Kofi TV in an interview.

Patapaa who berated event organizers, Charter House, for selling his Most Popular Song award to Fancy Gadam, rendered an unqualified apology for his conduct.

He said he made those unsubstantiated allegations out of pain and scorn after missing out on what looked an obvious award to him.
