The youth of Nkoranza Municipality in the Brong Ahafo region has invoked the dreaded “Antoa Nyama” on anyone who will invoke curses on the District Assembly Election (DLAE) in Nkoranza North and South.
The youth in the early hours of Monday morning officially reversed curses they invoked on the Municipal Electoral Commission (EC), compelling it to suspend the District Assembly Election in Nkoranza North and South.The ceremony according to Adom News’

The members of the Nkoranza Youth Association led by their leader, Nana Kwabena Nyarko slaughtered a sheep and used eggs to perform certain rituals to signify the prevention of the consequences that was expected to follow the curse.
Nana Nyarko in reversing the curse said, the move will enable the election of the assembly so that all the government appointees and the MCEs can be confirmed.
He added that, anyone who will once again invoke curses on the elections after they have reversed it, will be struck dead by ‘Antoa Nyama’.
“We are here today to officially reverse the curses we invoked on the elections.We want the elections to go ahead so that the officials can work without any disruption and so anyone who will again invoke curses on the elections will be killed by Antoa.They will die if they try it again” he said.

Meanwhile, the Electoral Commission (EC) has announced April 11, 2017, as the new date for the District Level (District Assembly and Unit Committee) elections that was postponed in September 2015.
