The government and religious bodies such as the Christian and Pentecostal Councils have been urged to take action against money ritual practice which has gained currency in the country.

Addressing a crowded press conference in Accra recently, the Founder and General Overseer of the Church of Rabi, headquartered at Ofankor, Accra Prophet Kwabena Tawiah, explained that the practice was sinful in the eyes of God.

He, therefore, lashed out at the various Christian bodies—Christian Council of Ghana and the Pentecostal Council of Ghana for not speaking against the practice.

He attributed many deaths in the country to the quest by some Ghanaians to get rich quick by going to money ritual practitioners.

The man of God wondered why such an abominable practice will be given much space and be promoted on some TV and radio stations across the country.

Consequently, Prophet Twaiah cautioned that the practice could get out of hand if those blood-thirsty money-ritual practitioners are not stopped.

Again, he berated politicians and pastors for their unfair treatment of Ghanaian journalists.

“Many of the pastors and politicians in this country think very little of journalists in this country, albeit these same people [the pastors and politicians] use journalists to spread their message and further achieve their parochial interests,” he lamented.

In this regard, the founder of the Church of Rabi advised journalists to be “extra-careful” about their dealings with politicians and some pastors in the country.

“The truth of the matter is that many Ghanaian politicians prefer to use journalists for spiritual purposes. This is because those politicians know that you journalists travel far and wide.”

Prophet Tawiah also used the opportunity to disclose there will be many deaths in 2019 and 2020.

“And those who will be hard hit will be children,” he revealed. According to him, the figures will soar in 2020 because of the fact that it is an election year.

Against this backdrop, he charged Christians to be steadfast in prayers to help avert these impending deaths in the coming years.
