Finance Minister Ken Ofori Atta says Ghana’s strong economic fundamental is ready for any challenges.
According to the minister, Ghana’s economy has remained resolute because of the strong economic fundamentals achieved so far.

Presenting his third budget statement since becoming minister Thursday, the finance minister said the performance of the economy for the first nine months has been impressive.
“Ghana has been able to face the storm because of the strong economic fundamentals. The performance of the economy for the first nine months has been impressive as data available to us indicates that the economy is in good shape,” he said.

He said although Ghana has a long way to go in fulfilling her destiny, the country is moving forward under the presidency of Nana Akufo-Addo.
“We are not there yet, we still have a long way to go in fulfilling the destiny of this blessed land.

“Indeed, we are being repaid for the years the locusts have eaten.
“Mr Speaker, what is, however, clear is that the nation is moving forward under this government and moving forward in the right direction,” he stated.
