The Normalization Committee of the Ghana Football Association is reported to have reached an agreement with clubs in the country to resume football activities next month.

According to the Committee, talks with the clubs over the return of a domestic competition has been fruitful, thus a possible return of football in 2019.

There will be a stopgap tournament from January which will end in June, with the next season expected to be synchronised with the European leagues in August.

The proposed competition will engulf both the lower and Premier divisions.

According to information gathered from a meeting, the Committee had with the clubs, after which a full calendar for the 2019/2020 league season will be rolled out due to the AFCON.

The Normalization Committee is expected to hold a final meeting at the Football Association Secretariat on Thursday, 6th December 2018 to finalise related issues with the resumption of football in the country.
