Information reaching adomonline.com indicate that the former member of Parliament for EJura Sekyedomasi, Hon Peter Boakye Ansah has passed on.

He died in the early hours of this morning after a short illness.

According to the head of his family, Nana Yamoah Ponko, he was preparing to leave for Accra this morning when death knocked on his door.

He said the family will sit next week for his one-week anniversary and decide on his funeral date.

Hon. Peter Boakye Ansah was the first District Secretary when EJura became district during the PNDC era in 1989.

When Ghana adopted multiparty democracy, he contested as a member of parliament on the ticket of the National Democratic Congress and won.

He represented the constituency twice.

He will be remembered for the massive development he initiated during his time.

Hon. Boakye Ansah was enstooled as Nkosuahene by the then Chief of Ejura traditional council, Nana Kwaku Sarfo of blessed memory.
