Former Manchester United star Memphis Depay has arrived in Ghana as part of his off-season holidays.

The 24-year-old arrived in the country earlier this week and has been enjoying himself in the company of the locals.

Depay was born to a Ghanaian father, but his mother hails from the Netherlands.

The skillful winger was once courted by the Ghana Football Association (GFA) but he opted to play for the Dutch national team instead.

Currently a player of French side Lyon, Depay previously stayed at Manchester United for two years, where he played under both Luis van Gaal and Jose Mourinho.

He also starred for Ajax Amsterdam, where he emerged as top scorer in the Dutch Eredivisie.

Depay is in Ghana to acquaint himself with his father’s family and the local people.
