An Accra High Court has adjourned a bail application by Aisha Huang, a Chinese woman believed to be deeply engaged in illegal mining to May 23, 2017.

This was after lawyers of the Galamsey queen requested their client be granted bail on health grounds.

Aisha Huang was remanded in prison custody alongside four other Chinese nationals after they were arrested by the Ghana Immigration Service and brought to court a week ago.

But Chief State Attorney, Mercy Arthur requested for an adjournment saying she only received the docket Wednesday, May 17, 2017, and needed time to respond appropriately.

She also indicated they intend to charge the 5 under the Minerals and Mining Act, 2006, (Act 703).

The trial judge after listening to both sides adjourned the bail application to enable prosecution conclude their investigations.
