Reports from Kumasi indicate that one person has been shot dead at the National Democratic Congress (NDC) offices in the Ashanti Regional capital, Kumasi.
Multimedia reporter, Erastus Asare Donkor, has reported that the deceased was shot about three times in his, thigh, abdomen and the chest, leading to his death instantly.
A second person is also said to have sustained gunshot wounds and is currently receiving treatment at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital.
General Secretary of the party, Johnson Asiedu Nketia, Erastus reports, was among other bigwigs who narrowly escaped the chaos.
It is unclear what may have started the commotion leading to the shooting.
