The Local Organizing Committee of the 2018 Africa Women Cup of Nations has inaugurated the Venue local organizing committee for the tournament set for November this year.

The Committee, last week, outdoored the Cape Coast Venue Organizing Committee and has done same for the second venue at a press conference by the Ministry of Youth and Sports.

An eleven-member committee, comprising six women and five men was sworn into office by the vice Chairman of the Normalization Committee, Lucy Quist and charged with the duty of coordinating activities within the Greater Accra Region.

The Accra Venue Local Organizing Committee will be led by Deputy Greater Accra Regional Minister, Hon. Elizabeth Sackey, Miss Sophia Korkor, a representative from the Ministry of Youth and Sports, Regional Command of the Ghana Police Service, Chief Superintendent Kwesi Ofori, Regional Director of the Ghana Health Service, Dr. Prince David Pambo, Representative from the Accra Metropolitan Assembly, Mr. Emmanuel Clottey, Madam Vivian Dougblar from the National Sports Authority.

Plrtia Tageo, Ben Willie Graham of Ghana Broadcasting Corporation (GBC), Grace Acheampong, Ivy Asamoah and Mr. Prince Obeng complete the list of committee members.

Deputy Minister, Elizabeth Sackey accepted the new position and promised to work assiduously with the members and the media to deliver a quality tournament.

She called for support for the Black Queens for a possible Host and Win agenda.
