Methodist Bishop of the Dzorwulu Circuit, Rt. Rev Stephen Richard Bosomtwe Ayensu, has described the just-ended Christmas celebrations in Ghana as “splendid”.

Rev Ayensu was responding to a question by sit-in host of Adom FM’s morning show, Dwaso Nsem, Henry Nana Boakye, popularly known as Nana B, on how he saw the Xmas festivities.

“This Christmas was splendid to me,” he replied in Twi.

Rev Ayensu said his judgement of the season as splendid was formed, based on the number of people he saw buying fowls and many other items as he went about about town during the Christmas.

He also explained that the peace prevailing in town also means that “many people are happy and enjoying”.

He added that even the activities of pickpockets had subsided within the yuletide, an indication that there are no issues of security.
