A student of the St Paul Technical School, Kukurantumi in the Eastern Region has died after he was allegedly locked in theschool’s library.

Henry Kakari Frimpong, a first-year male student gave up the ghost at a hospital in Koforidua onDecember 5, 2018.

Mother of the deceased, Evelyn Adu Kakari told host of Adom FM’s Morning show, Dwaso Nsem Captain Smart Monday that she received a distress call from the housemaster who told her the son was suffering from malaria.

According to her, she rushed to the hospital to see her son tied to a hospital bed at Kukurantumi.

She narrated that she was later asked to send the sick son to the Koforidua Government Hospital where he was put on oxygen support.

“I had a call from the housemaster that my son had was ill. I got to the hospital around 11 pm Wednesday and saw my son lying with his hands tied,” she said.

According to Madam Karikari, though she pleaded with the nurses at the hospital to help transfer him to 37 Military Hospital, they declined.

But, according to Madam Karikari, she was informed few hours later of herson’s passing on Thursday dawn.

Father of the deceased, Adu Kakari alleged that some of his son’s friends informed him that the deceased was locked up in the library till the following day, an allegation school authorities are yet to respond to.
