A 45-year old woman Akua Badu has been hospitalized after her husband Kwasi Amadu shot her in a misunderstanding over food in the Atwima Kwawoma District of the Ashanti Region.
Narrating her ordeal to Nhyira FM’s Prince Appiah, the woman said, Kwasi Amadu refused to share his Tuo Zaafi with her and when she threatened to pay him back he became offended and sacked her out of the house for the night.
Consequently, the woman who had been married for 25years with 5 children spent the night in an uncompleted building nearby.
When she returned home the next morning a quarrel ensured causing Amadu who was drunk to reach for a double- barrel gun to shoot her twice.
Madam Badu was wounded in the shoulder and buttocks and is currently receiving treatment at the SDA hospital at Dominase.
Unit Committee Chairman at Twenease Adwapong Yaw Owusu who confirmed the incident says the case has been reported to police at Senfwi but they are yet to visit the crime scene whilst the culprit is on the run.
Mr. Yaw Owusu says the members of the community are scared of mounting a search for Amadu because he escaped with the gun.
Meanwhile, Senfwi Police say they are investigating the matter.
