At least 60 people were crashed dead last Friday in two separate accidents

Apart from losing two of his brothers in the fatal accident that claimed 57 lives on the Kintampo-Techiman highway, a survivor has also narrated how he was on the verge of losing GHS 18,000 in the crash.

The survivor, Aziz Mohammed, has told Adom FM‘s morning show, Dwaso Nsem that aside from losing the GHS 18,000, he and his two brothers whose lives were claimed by the accident, have also lost four phones.

Mohammed said when he asked the police about the whereabouts of the money from the Police who were at the scene of the accident, he was told it was in the custody of personnel of the Ghana National Fire Service.

I asked the Police and was told it was with the Fire Service but when I went to the Fire Service, I was referred back to the Police who insist they don’t have it,” he explained.

Aziz who said he was carrying the money along to purchase some goods said he was confused by the situation.

Two buses travelling on the Techiman-Kintampo highway collided head-on around 4 a.m. on Friday, 22 March 2019 at Ampomakrom within the Pamdu Electoral Area of the Bono East Region.

The ill-fated buses had registration numbers GT 5694 – 18 and GT 3916 – 17.
