Member of Parliament for Assin Central Kennedy Agyapong has vowed to cause the dismissal of a security officer at the Metro Mass Transit (MMT) whom he alleged is behind the dismissal of embattled Managing Director of MMT, Bennet Aboagye.

A Board of Director’s decision asked the MD to step aside and allow investigations INTO several allegations levelled against him.

A subsequent letter handed to him on Tuesday, 17th April, 2017 and signed by Board Chairman, Ahmed Arthur and copied to the Minister for Transport, read, “I refer to the emergency Board of Directors’ meeting held on April 16, 2018, where the board held discussions with you on some allegations made against you by an employee of MMT.

“Based on the above, the board has decided to set up an investigative committee to investigate the series of allegations and give you an opportunity to respond to the allegations. In order for the committee to have an unfettered atmosphere within which to conduct its activities, the board has further decided that you proceed on leave with effect from Wednesday, 18th April 2018.

Mr Aboagye has since denied the allegations, saying he is being blackmailed.

Mr Agyapong has alleged on Adom TV’s morning show, Badwam, that a security man at MD’s office masterminded his interdiction.

According to him, the security man planted a camera in Aboagye’s office and recorded him unlawfully, a situation he describes as a breach of trust.

“A security officer who recorded the Managing Director leading to his sacking is still at post at Metro Mass, boasting.  The MD told me all these. What kind of stupidity is that? How can you plant a gadget in the office of the MD for him to be sacked,” he quizzed.

The MP says he will go all lengths to ensure the dismissal of the security man to pay for the pain he has caused the embattled MD.
