The Criminal Investigations Department (CID) of the Ghana Police Service has contacted Member of Parliament for Assin Central, Kennedy Agyapong following the murder of an undercover journalist with Tiger Eye PI.

Director-General of Public Affairs Department of the Ghana Police Service, ACP David Eklu revealed this on Asempa FM’s Ekosii Sen programme Thursday.

31-year-old Ahmed Hussein-Suale, a close associate of investigative journalist Anas Aremeyaw Anas was murder in cold blood Wednesday 16 January 2019 at Madina in Accra.

According to reports, he was shot by unidentified men who were riding on a motorbike.

But his death has been linked a comment by the Assin Central MP who was said to have asked his workers at his NET2 TV station to beat him [Ahmed] up if he ever stepped foot there.

The police has been urged to invite Ken Agyapong whose comment many believe might to urged the assailants on the commit the heinous crime.

To put matter to rest, ACP Eklu said they have spoken to the MP and have also requested for the video for investigations.

He however bemoaned the seeming politicization of the matter when the police is working assiduously to apprehended the killers.

ACP Eklu appealed for calm and urged the public to volunteer information to enable them arrest the culprits.
