The Health Ministry has vowed to deal with health officials at the Winneba Trauma and Specialist Hospital over the death of a 42-year-old man.

Health officials at the Winneba Trauma and Specialist Hospital in Winneba have been accused of negligence and dereliction of duty leading to the death of a 42-year-old man.

Wife of the deceased, Monica Sackey narrating the incident on Adom FM’s morning show “Dwaso Nsem” Monday said, her husband who was suffering from jaundice was taken to the facility for medical care but was abandoned for four days.

Mrs. Sackey said, her husband would have survived, had the nurses on duty at the time been a little bit professional in their approach to work and attended to him on time.

But reacting to the incident on the same show, Deputy Minister of Health, Kinsley Aboagye Gyedu described the development as unfortunate.

He bemoaned how health officials continue to take advantage of the lack of accountability in the system and cause even more damage to humanity.
