A Deputy General Secretary contestant at the just-ended NDC congress, Kojo Adu Asare, has dismissed claims that he is heading to court over an anomaly that occurred with his name on the ballot sheet.
The name that accompanied Mr Adu Asare’s portrait on the ballot paper was Justice Yeboah, a clear departure from his given name, Kojo Adu Asare.

But reacting to news circulating about his supposed decision to sue his party over the anomaly, he described same as mischief.
In an interview on Asempa FM’s Ekosii Sen Monday, Mr Adu Asare explained that he had no intentions of taking the case to court even though he is angry about how things turned out.
“I haven’t said anywhere that I am going to court but I know people have spoken on my behalf. I personally won’t resort to court to settle this issue,” he explained.

He said even though he knows the NDC does not engage in crude acts, he believes what happened was a deliberate action by some people to cut his chances of winning the elections.
He added that he trusts the new executives to look into the issue on his behalf.
The anomaly meant Kojo Adu Adu Asare, although a contestant, did not have his name on the ballot paper.
