Three assembly members in the Krowor Municipal assembly who double as NDC executives are currently in the grips of the Nungua police over alleged destruction of billboards within the municipality last year.

The three Alfred Nii Ahinsah Laryea, Oko Odiko and Lawrence Borquaye were picked up by police yesterday and held overnight, a situation which triggered some agitations by residents at the police station.

Sarah Borketey mother of one of the assemblymen Oko Odiko says she does not understand why her son has been picked by the police.

Meanwhile assemblyman for Mpkor electoral area Jerry Agbe-ke believes the MP for Nungua Afoley Quaye is behind the arrest of the three.

The detention, according to the national organizer of the NDC Joshua Akamba is connected to vote to confirm or reject the MCE nominee for the area.
