Tension is said to be brewing in Kwae Kesse, a town in the Afram Plains North constituency after the Member of Parliament for the area, Hon. Betty Krosby Mensah and executives of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) both stormed the RC Basic School to cook for the pupils.

This follows weeks of misunderstanding between the two parties over who has the right to cook for the children under the school feeding programme.

According to her, caterers she has given the contract to for execution have been stopped from cooking for the pupils.

She noted that NPP executives in the area claim the government has given them the contract hence will not allow the caterers to take over.

Meanwhile, the NPP constituency Women’s Organiser for the area, Mary Owusuaa has said she has been awarded the contract to cook for the children.
