Seven Menzgold customers who were arrested by the Kumasi Police for unlawful rioting have been granted bail Tuesday night. 

Three demonstrators including a 50-year-old woman were initially arrested and before four more demonstrators were later added to make it seven.

Two of the demonstrators, Adjei and Boateng who were released spoke about their experience.

“We were arrested and detained because we told the police it was our right to demonstrate, they didn’t manhandle us in any way but they detained us for long,” one of them said.

The seven appeared before the Asokore Mampong Magistrate court this morning.
