The planned demonstration is to coincide with President Akufo-Addo’s visit to the United Kingdom today Friday, June 16, 2017.

The group said to be members of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) had planned to stage the protest over what it described as the heighten insecurity and crippling socio-economic conditions in the country.

UK-based Abaawa Radio’s Mugabe confirmed this to Adom News Friday.

He indicated that demonstrators are expected to gather at Central Hall, Westminster, Storey’s Gate, London, SW1H 9NH at exactly 17:00hrs.

But police in London denied the group permit to demonstrate due to the security threat to the country.

Mugabe noted that, the group said they wanted to express their frustration to the President.

  1. One good turn deserves another. Nana Addo himself led demonstrations against JDM over there, that Ghanaians are hungry, they are suffering, etc. Why won’t he accept his turn too.

  2. Only 6 months in opposition and ndc is so desperate? The insecurity did not start in January 2017. Is security in the UK any better than that in Ghana?
