President Akufo-Addo will commence a tour of the Eastern Region on Thursday, 22nd November 2018, a statement from the Eastern Regional branch of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) has said.

The statement which was signed by David Prah, the Eastern Regional Communications Director of the party said the President’s visit forms part of his commitment to deepening grassroots participation in his government.

The visit to the region forms part of the President’s commitment to deepen grassroots participation in his government and to obtain first-hand information from the people. It will also, afford the President an opportunity to account for his stewardship to the voters who gave him the mandate to govern the country,” the statement said in part.

PRESIDENT TOURS EASTERN REGION

The President of the Republic of Ghana, H. E. Nana Addo Danquah Akufo-Addo, will embark on a 3-Day working visit to the Eastern Region from the 22nd – 24th November 2018.

The visit to the region forms part of the President’s commitment to deepen grassroots participation in his government and to obtain first-hand information from the people. It will also, afford the President an opportunity to account for his stewardship to the voters who gave him the mandate to govern the country.

Under the presidency of H.E. Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo, the Eastern Region has witnessed an unprecedented level of development and it is expected that the President would receive a rousing welcome from the good people of his home region.

As part the of the visit, the President will inspect some ongoing developmental projects and commission Akim Oda – Akwatia – Winneba Urban Water Supply System at Akim Oda, among other completed projects.

The President will also attend a durbar of Chiefs and the People of the Eastern Region in his honour.
