The handbag of the mistress of the National Science and Maths Quiz which went missing at the Grande finale of the event has been found.

The handbag of the Quiz Mistress for the 2017 National Maths and Science Quiz went missing after the event.

Dr Elsie Effah Kaufmann’s handbag was declared missing after students from the Prempeh College, winners of the 2017 edition, stormed the stage with their heads to receive the coveted trophy.

The black silk handbag with a red zip, Dr Kaufmann exclusively told Adomonline.com’s Kwaku Nti and Dennis Adu, contained her valuables including her phone, ID Cards from the University of Ghana where she is a senior lecturer, her car keys and home keys as well.

Dr Kaufmann said she realized her handbag had been stolen after she had helped staff and students of Prempeh College to lift the trophy, which a hundred and fifty (150) school contested.

Speaking on Adom FM’s Morning Show, ‘Dwaso Nsem’ Friday, the headmaster of Prempeh College, the winners of the 2017 edition said the bag has been found.

Samuel Fordjour said a hidden camera captured the person who took away the senior lecturer of University of Ghana’s handbag which contained her valuables.

“When we met yesterday, I was told the bag has been found and that they had traced the person who stole the bag and had gone for the bag, a camera at the location helped to trace the person…,” he said.

  1. So who took it ,if it is found to be a student from a particular school ,the supporters of that school should be ban next time from entering the hall ,I have made my suggestion let’s instill discipline in the students

  2. Thank God it was found. But why is it so difficult for Ghanaians to punish wrongdoing? No mention is made of the culprit or any sanctions? Why?

  3. Seriously this missing bag is not supposed to gain news recognition. I feel it will rather tarnish the image of the nation and for that matter handled discretely…….

  4. Please name the culprit who stole the bag and bring him to book. Let the school authorities not cover up this wrong doing of their student. Spare the rod and spoil the child. He has greately tarnished the image of his school as well as his family. Ghanaians want to know the truth.
