Nana Akosua, a worried mother whose one-year-old baby was stolen from her at the Takoradi Market Circle in the Western region, is threatening suicide.
Nana Akosua told Joy News’ Ina-Thalia Quansah she could not imagine life without her baby.
According to her, she has had to endure sleepless nights over the delay in reuniting with the baby identified as Francis Mawusi Ahiabenu, who was stolen on Friday, March 22, 2019.

Background
The traumatised mother said a woman in her forties was the one who stole her child.
A camera, fixed at the entrance of the Ghana Home Loans company, captured vividly the thief when she was stealing the baby.

Nana Akosua, a trader and mother of the boy, was attending to customers when he was stolen.
She narrated to Joy News that the suspect approached her and engaged her in a conversation in front of her store. The mother said the suspect asked if her two children were Ewes and later asked for their names as well.
The mother of two said the suspect requested to buy a pastry and sausage for her kids.

Although she agreed, Nana Akosua was apprehensive
because of the recent kidnappings in the region so she followed the suspect at
a close distance keeping an eye on her kids.
Strangely, the thief got lost in the market crowd and that was the last she saw of her baby boy.
Meanwhile, Police and residents of Takoradi are on a manhunt for the middle-aged woman believed to have stolen the baby.
