The family of late Ghanaian actress Beverly Afaglo has announced details of her one-week observation following her passing.
In a statement issued by Cine-God Studios and her management, the family confirmed that the actress died in the early hours of Sunday, May 24, 2026, at the International Maritime Hospital in Tema after what was described as a courageous battle with cancer.
According to the statement, the one-week observation will be held on Saturday, May 30, 2026, at the Green Flavour Events Centre at Community 9 in Tema.
The event is scheduled to take place from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
The family appealed to the public to continue supporting them with prayers and respect their privacy as they mourn the actress and prepare for her final funeral rites.
“The family respectfully requests prayers, support, and privacy as they mourn this painful loss and make arrangements for her final rites,” the statement said.
The family also indicated that details of the funeral arrangements would be communicated later.
They further expressed gratitude to the public, colleagues, friends and well-wishers for the support and love shown during the difficult period.
Beverly Afaglo was widely known in Ghana’s movie and television industry for her performances in several productions over the years.
