Ghana’s senior women’s national team, the Black Queens, will compete in a three-nation international tournament in Tanzania during the FIFA Women’s international window scheduled from June 1 to June 9, 2026.

The announcement was made by the Ghana Football Association (GFA) as preparations intensify for the upcoming Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON).

The tournament, to be staged in Dar es Salaam, will bring together Ghana, hosts Tanzania and Malawi in a competitive build-up toward the continental championship.

For the Black Queens, the competition presents an important opportunity to gain valuable match fitness and maintain competitive sharpness during the international break.

The mini-tournament is also expected to play a significant role in the technical team’s preparations, offering a platform to assess player performances, strengthen team chemistry and fine-tune tactical plans ahead of WAFCON 2026.

With the continental showpiece drawing closer, the matches in Tanzania are expected to provide the Black Queens with crucial international exposure as they seek to build momentum and cohesion.

The Ghana Football Association is expected to announce the Black Queens squad for the tournament in the coming days.
