Minister for Special Development Initiatives, Mavis Hawa Koomson, has fired a salvo at the National Communications Officer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) for claiming she would be prosecuted should the NDC come back to power.

Sammy Gyamfi suggested that, she would be a candidate for prosecution under the Mahama government for causing financial loss to the State.

He cited how Hon. Koomson under the 1 Village 1 Dam initiative had constructed dams which were not fit for purpose to buttress his point.

In a rebuttal, the Minister for Special Development Initiatives said the conduct of the NDC man was borne out of jealousy.

She said if the assertion of Mr Gyamfi is anything to go by, then the first candidate for prosecution would be former Health Minister, Alex Segbefia.

“Alex is the one who bought empty vans as ambulances, he will be first in jail and I will serve him water when I get there,” she opined.

Hon. Koomson claimed the opposition party is pained due to her Ministry’s ability to executive the distribution of all 307 ambulances.

“I’m not surprised about Sammy Gyamfi’s comment because my critics are very disappointed because I have been able to do the work,” she added.
