Dancehall artiste, Stonebwoy, says the last thing he would look for is cheap hype.

According to him, although he has accomplished a lot this year regarding his music career, he doesn’t have to brag about them.

He explained to JoyNews that all he is doing is to put Ghana on the map hence any achievement from his camp being circulated in the media is not about hype.

“I am one of the exceptions; having been a success to do some of the first things. We have to know what we have to resonate and be one. I am not taking the first to compete or compare. Most of the afrobeats generated from Ghana. How many of us are proud that we brought it. I don’t like hype. I can easily get hype so why would I strive for it…” he said.

Some people have applauded the “Savage” hitmaker for his good work while others have also disagreed with his statement, saying he was the same musician begging the media to promote his tour, not long ago.
