Ghanaian highlife musician, Bisa Kdei, says he is not bothered about not getting any nomination in the recent Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMA).
According to the ‘Mansa’ hitmaker, the situation has rather motivated him to work harder.
In an interview with Adomonline’s Dennis Adu on Tuesday, Bisa said: “I filed and didn’t get a nomination but its good…”

He continued that “maybe I didn’t work hard enough. So I will do better next time around…”

Asked if he felt disturbed about the “highlife artiste of the year” slipping away from his hands, answered: “it’s okay for someone else to be a step or two ahead of you. It has motivated me.”
Bisa Kdei has released his third album dubbed ‘Highlife Konnect’, which has been described by many as “indigenous” and “contemporary”.

The unveiling, which took place at the Airport Square in Accra, witnessed scores of industry players and musicians who were in attendance to support the 2016 Highlife Artistes of the Year.
Some of the artistes on the album include Sarkodie, Patoranking, Kumi Guitar, Yaa Yaa, Mayorkun, Reekado Banks, Zambia’s Oc Osilliation and Cameroonian Stanley Enow.
