Organisation’s background

Adom FM started operations in April 2000 after Multimedia Broadcasting Company Ltd bought Groove FM which was then based in Osu. The station was then relocated to Tema where it has been ever since.
Since 2000, the station has grown from an initial staff strength of 13 to a current number of 80.

Our mission is to provide compelling talk and music content to our listeners in Akan Language and, thereby, deliver maximum audience to our advertisers

Adom Fm is part of the Multimedia group which has Kwasi Twum as Chief Executive Officer with Klaus vonbackustein as General Manager of Adom FM.

Achievements of the organization

Since its inception, Adom FM has won a number of awards and supported numerous charity programmes. Some of the Awards are for Adom Nhyira Nsuo which was accompanied by a citation for being the most socially beneficial campaign on radio. Programmes such as Ofie Kwanso, Adom Top 40 and Kasa Hare have also won awards while Kwame Baah-Nuako of our Sports Desk won the best Sports Presenter on Radio.
Others are pre-2004 election Thanksgiving service, Annual Thanksgiving service in 2003.
Currently, we are the most listened to station in Ghana. We are number one according to GAMPS 2005.
