The Chairman of The Church of Pentecost, Apostle Professor Opoku Onyinah has reiterated the relevance of the death of Christ.
According to him, the power of the resurrection still mediates for Christians who seek favour from God.

Easter is the most important and oldest festival of the Christian Church, celebrating the resurrection of Christ between 21 March and 25 April.
The New Testament states that the resurrection of Jesus, which Easter celebrates, is a foundation of the Christian faith.
Easter is linked to Passover and the Exodus from Egypt recorded in the Old Testament through the Last Supper, sufferings, and crucifixion of Jesus that preceded the resurrection.
But many believe the resurrection is just a Bible story which should not be given any attention.

However, on Adom FM’s morning show, Dwaso Nsem Friday, Apostle Opoku Onyinah said many people don’t believe in a literal bodily resurrection of Christ but it is very relevant.
He maintained that, the death of Christ wasn’t something that he came up with, nor is it something that Christians throughout the ages have invented, created, or re-amalgamated.

The Chairman of the Pentecost Church said it is time Christians and unbelievers come to terms with the truth of the Gospel since it won’t be changed to come to terms with us.
Apostle Opoku Onyinah added that, the church didn’t create the resurrection accounts; the resurrection accounts created the church.
“And the resurrection gives certainty that the Gospel saves. God’s faithfulness is revealed by consistency in nature” he stressed.
