Residents of Sunyani in the Brong Ahafo region are yet to come to terms with news of serial killings there after yet another bizarre death was recorded.
The apprehensions come after the body of a man believed to be mentally unstable was found buried under a heap of sand in one of the suburbs.

Some residents who spoke to Adom News’ Regional Correspondent, Koofori Bossu Denkye said the situation was becoming alarming, especially, for those who are not natives of the town but work there.
He said some of the victims who are women are found stripped from the waist down, with their legs apart and their body parts missing.
Koofori reports that the situation has affected commercial activities in the area because people no longer stay out late at night for fear of being attacked.

Krontihene of Sunyani, Nana Bofoatia Boamponsem confirmed the incident on Adom FM’s morning show, Dwaso Nsem, Friday.
He said prior to the strings of murders, the residents who are mostly engaged in farming communities, stayed out late before retiring to their homes without entertaining any fear of being attacked.

As an immediate measure, residents, especially taxi drivers, have been asked to volunteer information of any strange persons in the town.
“The mysterious deaths is destroying the economic lives of our people so the police must act”, he added.
He said the police has revealed virtually no information about their investigations, claiming that it could embolden the killers.
Nana Bofoatia Boamponsem said the Traditional Council will also meet to find a lasting solution to the problem.
