The lawyers said road safety is a shared responsibility

The National Road Safety Commission (NRSC) has put in place measures to ensure an accident-free Easter celebration.

As part of efforts to ensure accident-free Easter, the Director of Planning and Programmes at the Commission, Ing. David Osafo Adonteng on Adom FM’s Dwaso Nsem programme Friday said they have started vigorous education of drivers who ply that route.

in collaboration with the police MTTD, they have deplored modern enforcement
equipment such as breathalysers to detect drink driving, over speeding
detection tools, and other sophisticated gadgets that would ensure responsible
driving.

To respond to emergencies, he said they have set up first aid posts at various points on the Accra-Kumasi road to avert unfortunate deaths.

“We have deplored our people across the country to educate drivers. No overspreading, unnecessary overtaking this Easter. We are on the various highways to ensure the drivers comply” he added.

Ing. Adonteng appealed to the driver unions like GPRTU to ensure their members don’t endanger the lives of passengers.
