A 32-year-old man, Yaw Opoku has inflicted multiple knife wounds on a 79-year-old pastor of African Faith Tabernacle Church, Odeefo Adu Koli for refusing to drink alcohol.
The suspect, Yaw Opoku, 32, allegedly attacked the man of God at a drinking bar in Assin Dansami in the Assin North District of Central Region Tuesday.

Adom News’ Alfred Amoh reported that the victim, Odeefo Adu Koli, went into the bar to sell roots of a medicinal tree to the bar operator.
However, the suspect wanted the pastor to taste his own herbs mixed with alcohol.
When Odeefo Koli refused, the suspect took offense.
After several persuasions, the two engaged in a serious argument and the suspect allegedly attacked Odeefo multiple times with a machete.

The man of God sustained serious machete wounds on the face, head and other parts of his body.
The suspect after the act reportedly fled the scene.
The Assin Praso police have since commenced investigations into the matter.

Meanwhile, the victim, Odeefo Adu Koli is receiving treatment at the Assin Prado Clinic.
