Man roasts son for eating family stew

A 33-year-old man, Edward Boafo, has virtually roasted both legs of his 6-year-old son, Kwame Boafo, for allegedly eating stew meant for the family meal.

The Assin Fosu District Court presided over by his Worship Djane Quotey, has remanded the accused, Edward Boafo, into prison custody, to reappear on March 19, 2019, for the final judgement.

The Police prosecutor, Inspector Gilbert Wayongo, told the court that on February 14 2019, Mr Boafo returned from work to see the stew in question consumed by the victim.

Mr Boafo, who suspected his 6-year-old son, Kwame Boafo, for the suspected act, virtually roasted the victim’s legs until he confessed.

The boy, who spent two days at the St. Francis Hospital in Assin Fosu for treatment, is currently with the social welfare department for shelter upon the court’s directive as his father is on remand.
