The Presiding Bishop of the Wonder Cathedral, the Adenta branch of the Christian Action Faith Ministry (CAFM) has asked his household to polish his shoes and get his clothes in tip top shape as he prepares to take to the dancing floor for Adom Praiz 2013.
The Adom Praiz concert, to be held on Saturday August 3 at the Perez Dome, formerly Word Miracle Chapel at Dzorwulu Junction, will be headlined by multiple Grammy Award-winning American gospel artiste Kirk Franklin backed by an 11 member band.
Speaking at the second outdoor version of Adom Live Worship on Sunday July 21, 2013, Bishop James Saah reminded the thousands gathered into and outside the Wonder Cathedral that God delights in the praise of his creations, and there was no better occasion to renew their faith in God by singing and dancing along to inspiring gospel music.
He has therefore urged lovers of music, not just gospel music, to patronize the Adom Praiz concert, saying apart from serving as an inspirer, music also calms the soul.
The several thousand attendants at the Live Worship event were privileged to see and purchase the first tickets released for the concert, at Ghs 30 (regular) and Ghs 50 (VIP). They told adomonline.com the tickets were “affordable” and promised to purchase some for friends and family.
They urged organizers of the concert, Adom 106.3 FM, to create many more ticket sales outlets to make it easier to purchase. They however commended the station for the innovative nature of the concert.
This is the third time a foreign gospel artiste is headlining the Adom Praiz concert, after Cece Winans (2010), and Ron Kenoly (2011). There was no concert in 2012, as it coincided with the unfortunate demise of former President Atta Mills.
Other artistes on the bill for Adom Praiz 2013 are No Tribe, Ohemaa Mercy, Cecilia Marfo and Cwesi Oteng.
