The Madina Police has mounted a search for Gloria Asiedu, former administrative secretary of Youth Employment Development Agency (GYEEDA) for allegedly knocking down and killing a seven year old school boy with her vehicle.
Fusani Mustafa was knocked down in the company of his twin brother and other siblings on March 22, 2012 and was declared dead shortly after he was rushed to the Alpha Hospital at Madina with blood oozing out of his nostrils and mouth.
Kadijatu Alhassan, mother of the deceased told listeners of Asempa FM’s Abrabo programme that the suspect had pleaded with the family for an out of court settlement but has since failed to fulfill her side of the bargain, apart from Ghs500 contributed towards the funeral and a further Ghs200 afterwards.
Several phone calls and visits to her office later, the parents of the deceased were informed she had left GYEEDA and travelled to London. She left an amount of $100 dollars and some used cloths for them, which they refused to accept
The Attorney General’s Department has meanwhile directed the Madina police to arrest and process the suspect for court.
The parents of Fusani Mustafa have therefore appealed to anyone with information about the whereabouts of Gloria Asiedu, formerly of GYEEDA, to contact Inspector Erick Boateng of the Madina Police.
