Deputy National Organiser of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Joshua Hamidu Akamba, has vowed to drag a former Consul General to Dubai under the John Mahama regime, Daniel Osei and former Foreign Minister James Victor Gbeho, to the NDC’s Disciplinary Committee.

He said the leadership of the party must call them to order for making disparaging remarks against former President John Dramani Mahama.

According to him, this is a way of ensuring that calm is restored in the party which is seeking to win political power in 2020.

Victor Gbeho is a member of the Council of Elders and Ambassador Osei is also a member of the party but listening to the two of them does not speak well of our party“, Akamba noted.

The party should not sit down and allow people who claim to love NDC to be saying these things publicly against Mahama. If they continue like that then they are already arming our opponents” he said on Asempa FM’s Kukuranumi Saturday.

Mr Gbeho has taken a swipe at former President John Dramani Mahama by asking members of the party to throw their weight behind people with good records and not those that led the party to lose the 2016 election miserably.

According to him, the time has come for the party to rebrand and build on its shortfalls in 2016 by electing a flagbearer, who has a better chance of leading the party to win the 2020 election rather than “somebody who is a failure somewhere else.”

Also, Mr Daniel Osei is cautioning the NDC against electing former President John Mahama as flagbearer.
