National Organiser of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), Kofi Adams, appears to have thrown in the towel as the race for the National Organiser position for election 2020 gathers momentum.

Speaking on Accra-based Okay FM as monitored by Adomonline.com, Kofi Adams who said he has chalked great successes as National Organiser feels it was prudent to for him to bow out when the applause is loudest.

When the nomination is opened, I can assure you that you will not see my name in the national organizer position. I will not stand for that post again. You won’t see my name there. I feel strongly that I have done my job creditably well so it’s important that someone else continues my good job”, he said.

Current Deputy Organiser of the NDC, Joshua Hamidu Akamba, Yaw Boateng Gyan, former Member of Parliament for Akwatia, Baba Jamal and Anita De-Sooso are seeking to replace Mr Kofi Adams who is taking a bow.

Kofi Adams says he did his utmost best for the party and now has what it takes to run for other positions.

Mr Adams indicated that all the aspirants vying for the position, apart from Mr Boateng Gyan,  have engaged with him because of the significant role he played in the party.

I need to move on to other levels in the party to continue my work. Those competing for my for my position have all engaged me but I’m not leaving because of them, I just want to move on”, he noted.
