The Ghana Grid Company (GRIDCo) has announced the
completion of the diversion works on the Aboadze-Tema transmission line
traversing the highway interchange at Pokuase, Accra.

Following power outages that hit parts of the country, the Company attributed the outages to a diversion work ongoing on the Aboadze-Tema transmission line on the Pokuase highway with the assurance that works will be completed today, March 19, 2019.

GRICo, during the transmission line diversion works, urged the Power Distribution Services (PDS) to shed load in the country.

The company disclosed this in a statement issued and
signed by the Head of PR at GRIDCo, Mr Albert Kwesi Quainoo, on Tuesday, 19
March 2019.

“We appreciate the support of the general public during the diversion works and assure Ghanaians of our commitment to work with all stakeholders to provide reliable electricity supply to consumers,” the statement noted.
